Attitudes towards and organizational support for evidence-based practices: A comparison of education and allied health professionals in autism

• Allied health professionals and educators are encouraged to use evidence-based practice (EBP). These differ in both their attitudes towards, support for, EBP. Attempts change towards EBP should be targeted profession specific. Evidence-based practices (EBPs) have been developed for clients on the autism spectrum across allied education. However, there remains a significant gap between research practice. We explored similarities differences two key factors that may link uptake: individual organizational culture ( n = 156) education 95) completed measures of perceived Moderate levels each were found within groups. Educators however, showed more positive attitudes, whereas toward results add scant literature comparing professions, highlighting discipline autism. findings highlight need knowledge translation approaches as opposed development generic models contexts disciplines.
